The English Army Reversible Jerkin Vest by MotivMfg x Division Road is designed as a meeting point between vintage insulated English military vests and countryside garments. This piece is derived from an early 20th-century outdoorsman leather vest adapted for the British Army in WWII and is recreated as a high-style reversible garment with an anatomically tailored fit. This outerwear-focused vest is made in a medium-weight 14 oz. Windowpane woolen cloth produced from entirely undyed 100% British Wool from various sheep breeds for contrasting shades of brown woven into a traditional pattern. From one of England's oldest mills, dating to 1782, Marling & Evans®, this natural tweed woolen has a durable and pronounced texture while remaining chemical-free. It is minimally processed in a simple soap wash to retain the wool's natural oils for durability and a soft hand. It boasts a complex and defined pattern using shades of khaki and espresso for a sophisticated pattern with a natural, luxurious, and textured finish. This English Army Jerkin Vest is reversible with a gunmetal zipped front to the secondary natural, undyed Wool-Poly Fleece side with a high pile for a forward, urban-to-outdoor aesthetic and versatility. Paying homage to the originals with refined sophistication, the pattern-matched front face comes with welted hand pockets paired with a high storm collar, ribbed side panels for comfort and function, and a military-inspired high front and low back hem for a cleanly designed utility piece that styles well with various garments. This vest is packed with superior bespoke and old-world detailing like felled seams and bartack reinforcements.
