The English Hunt Work Jacket by MotivMfg x Division Road is designed as a meeting point between tailored and dutiful industrial-era blazers used as workwear and countryside hunting jackets. This piece is derived from 1920s sack jacket patterns and redesigned with an anatomically tailored fit, featuring a single back piece folded into shape to provide structure and form – in the same type of durable material that epitomized the originals – to create a cut that is perfectly balanced between vintage and contemporary. This jacket is made in a limited bolt, lightweight, all-season 10 oz. Walnut Stripe Fox City Cloth plain-weave produced at the 200-year-old original Somerset mill by the world-famous Fox Brothers® using the finest 100% British Merino Wool with a signature worsted yarn and 2-ply weave referencing a tropical wool weight that resists wrinkling and is engineered for the outdoors. Since 1772, Fox Brothers has produced top-tier textiles for a range of applications, including Savile Row tailoring and British Military garments. By sourcing the finest fibers from around the world and employing intensive, hand-driven milling and cording processes, they produce fabrics of the highest grade, combining comfort, density, and durability. This incredibly luxurious, crisp, and dry cloth boasts a complex coloration, with walnut-shaded yarns woven in a box-weave, accented with an espresso stripe, for a sophisticated aesthetic that reflects its enhanced class. This English Hunt Work Jacket is designed with a rolling 5-button front to allow for dress-to-outerwear versatility, function, and style with a Cupro/Lyocell twill half-lined body for a structured shape and optimal drape, paired with Bemberg-lined sleeves and a functional button cuff for practical refinement. Paying homage to the originals with sophistication, this jacket features beautifully shaped and utilitarian pocketing, including a patch front chest pocket, two front welted patch pockets with flaps that tuck in for various formats and functions, and three interior buttoned twill patch pockets for the tools of your trade. This piece is packed with superior bespoke and old-world detailing, including felled seams, zigzag back collar stitching, bartack reinforcements throughout, and genuine horn buttons with a unique vintage finish.
