Description

The Swiss Army Cargo Trouser by MotivMfg x Division Road is a high-rise, single-pleated pant with a roomy and relaxed top block and thigh that tapers to a moderate hem, offering a perfectly balanced, modern take on mid-20th century Swiss and German military and aeronautical utility pants, designed to be an inspirational piece in the Original Gentleman's wardrobe. This trouser is crafted from an evolved 10 oz. Japanese Military-spec High Density Twill using combed 100% Cotton yarns that have been mercerized for a clean finish, woven in the signature directional twill that yields a crisp and hearty, robust military-inspired cloth that balances the dutiful with the distinguished. Coming in a classic uniform chino Desert tan, this structured cotton cloth is perfect for styling versatility to transition effortlessly from dress to casual situations with a sense of luxury. Paying homage to the original with sophisticated finishing, this trouser features a single pleat for an optimal fit with drape, an adjustable waistband with an ingenious tab button front, and a concealed elastic back, complete with a zipped fly and top button front. These Swiss Army Cargo Trousers are enhanced with design-focused utilitarian pocketing, including gusseted and angled side cargo pockets, a patch back pocket with button closures, and slant front pockets for all the tools and accompaniments one needs. Finally, this pant is packed with superior bespoke and old-world detailing, such as an articulated back yoke and legs, cotton ripstop pocket bags and interior trim, felled seams, bartack reinforcements throughout, a finished tailor's hem for easy inseam alterations, and custom cast and brushed gunmetal buttons. MotivMfg has re-established a pattern-to-bespoke garment, one-roof workshop in Beijing with the ethos, processes, techniques, and materials of Savile Row to produce historically informed garments in styles and production methods lost by the West. We are honored to partner with MotivMfg to offer exclusive collaborations for a new and timeless uniform for the Division Road Army.

Sizing

Model Measurements: 5'9" | 150 lbs. | 38" Chest | 32" Waist - Wearing Size 30

MotivMfg generally runs true to traditional tailoring, but the Swiss Army Cargo does run large with an elasticized waist. We suggest taking 1-2 sizes down from your Actual Waist Measurement (Body/Belt) or 1 size down from other MotivMfg trousers. Generally, take the same size as modern brand sizing.

All of our MotivMfg offerings are exclusive to Division Road, and by default, we make standard adjustments to the pattern and body to make the fit relatable. Our Sizing Guide provides garment-specific measurements taken in-house, per Our Method. These measurements are not duplicated across fabric or colorways and are re-measured each production run. Using European tailoring methods dating back to the 1920’s, all patterns are hand drafted then implemented with drape and baste fittings on real life models, ensuring the spontaneity of creativity.
