This piece is derived from gentleman country blazers and redesigned with an anatomically tailored fit that bridges modern and vintage styling with a high stance 3-button front, curved peak lapel, and single piece back in the same type of durable material that epitomized the original. This jacket is made in a heavyweight 18 oz. Sporting Check Tweed in a hopsack weave produced by Scotland's renowned Lovat® Mill using 100% True Shetland Wool in a fabric made for the outdoors. With a focus on true sustainability and traceability through vertical production, this Ettrick Tweed is made from ethically sourced mulesing-free fleece from wild-raised Shetland Sheep on the northern Scottish Islands local to Lovat® Mill, the "Home of Tweed," established in 1826. This unique grey and midnight navy large-scale check on shades of charcoal field is a contemporary take on an archived pattern that boasts palette and style versatility from fall through spring in a hearty hopsack with a refined aesthetic and subtle, textured finish. This English Country Wanderer Jacket is designed with a soft padded shoulder, a structured shape, and an optimal drape. It is paired with with a Cupro twill half-lined body, Bemberg lined sleeves and a functional button cuff for practical refinement. Paying homage to the originals with sophistication, this jacket has beautifully shaped and utilitarian pocketing like a welt chest pocket, welt ticket pocket, and two lower flap front bellow poacher pockets, along with dual chest interior welt pockets for accompaniments. This piece is packed with superior bespoke and old-world detailing like felled and taped seams, bartack reinforcements throughout, and genuine horn buttons with a unique matte finish. MotivMfg has re-established a pattern-to-bespoke garment one-roof workshop in Beijing with the ethos, process, techniques, and materials of Savile Row to produce historically informed garments in styles and production methods lost by the West.
