Description
The English Dress Hunt Vest by MotivMfg x Division Road is designed as a meeting point between tailored officer riding and dutiful industrial-era workwear vests and is well-suited to be a wardrobe staple for an Original Gentleman. This piece is derived from vest patterns dating back to the Victorian era, redesigned with an anatomically tailored and functional fit, curved front hem, split side seam, darted back, and cinch buckle back waist in a design perfectly balanced between vintage and contemporary. This vest is made in the luxurious and technical Optim™ Wool developed and produced by Woolmark® as a wind, wrinkle, and water-resistant suiting grade woolen with a light all-season weight and a dense, structured drape. This 8 oz. Optim® Wool Gabardine uses undyed 100% Merino wool fibers that have been stretched in spinning and shrunken in wet-finishing for a smooth twill weave that highlights and enhances wool's natural tonal color texture, weather resistance, breathability, temperature regulation, and durability. The English Dress Hunt Vest is designed with a non-collar 5-button front to allow for practical versatility and function in a traditional waistcoat style fully finished with a Rayon-blend lined body for a structured drape with mobility. Paying homage to the originals with sophistication, this vest has beautifully shaped and utilitarian welt front pocketing. It is packed with superior bespoke and old-world detailing, bartack reinforcements throughout, and genuine ebony horn buttons with a unique matte finish. MotivMfg has re-established a pattern-to-bespoke garment one-roof workshop in Beijing with the ethos, process, techniques, and materials of Savile Row to produce historically informed garments in styles and production methods lost by the West. We are honored to partner with MotivMfg to offer exclusive collaborations for a new and timeless uniform for the Division Road Army.
