The Lot. 323 Undyed Beige Wool Quilt Lining Blanket Jacket from Taiga Takahashi T.T is inspired by quilted liners used by the French Military during the Algerian War, combined with elements from Brown's beach jacket, iconic in the American outdoors. This Quilt Lining Jacket is crafted from an undyed 12 oz. Blanket Fleece Wool Cloth developed and loomed as a box-weave hopsack cloth exclusively for T.T in Japan to replicate a blanket found in Minnesota and recreated to have a soft texture and brushed finish. Reimagined from yesteryear with refinement, a fully lined body using tonal Japanese cotton chino cloth, diamond quilted with a light polyester fill, and camel colored herringbone twill banding throughout presents a luxurious aesthetic to an inspired utilitarian garment. Guided by the Applied Archaeology ethos and Taiga Takahashi archives, this piece resurrects a relic of the past to serve as an artifact of the future by blending aesthetic principles rooted in Japanese concepts of craftsmanship and beauty.
