The Lot. 304 Camel Giza Moleskin Blanket Lining Coverall Jacket from Taiga Takahashi T.T is inspired by horse riding and barn coats from the 1920s onward, and is specifically based on a Montgomery Ward piece from the 40s that was also refashioned into factory and chore coats in later years. This Coverall is crafted from a 12 oz. Moleskin Cloth developed and loomed exclusively for T.T in Japan using Giza Egyptian Cotton for a luxurious finish and enhanced flexibility in a durable fabric that will evolve with the wearer. Reimagined from yesteryear with refinement, this jacket is fully lined with Japanese recycled wool loomed into a striped blanket, and trimmed with a point collar and articulated flip-up cuffs in the fine wale Tweeduroy printed with an irregular natural dye melange effect. Guided by the Applied Archaeology ethos and Taiga Takahashi archives, this piece resurrects a relic of the past to serve as an artifact of the future by blending aesthetic principles rooted in Japanese concepts of craftsmanship and beauty. Paying homage to the antique original, the Blanket Lined Coverall Jacket has a vintage-inspired, tailored, directional fit with set-in sleeves that roll forward for riding, a corduroy point collar, an uncoated iron buttoned front closure, articulated cuffs, patch chest pockets with a pen slot, and lower patch pockets.
