Description

The White's x Division Road Black Waxed Flesh & Natural CXL 350 Cutter is a 6" Lace-to-Toe pattern inspired by the original toe-lace logger boots debuted by Otto White in the 1920s, popular with workmen for their greater accuracy in adjusting fit based on conditions of use, foot swelling, or injury. These Division Road White's are characterized by two Chromexcel tannage variations in a contrasting palette that will patina to relate more closely over years of hard wear. The Black Waxed Flesh for the vamp and counter will reveal a sand-colored nap that corresponds to the Natural CXL leather used on the quarter, tongue, and back-stay, which will eventually darken with use and conditioning. This boot is designed in collaboration with Master Shoemaker and now CEO Eric Kinney to hallmark the quintessentially Northwest multi-paneled upper that allows for comprehensive rebuilds and pairs with White's exclusive stitchdown construction tradition, using their unique hand-sewn, all-leather builds, all refined with our functional design approach that honors the original craftsmanship, history, and lifetime durability with a fresh perspective. This Cutter features an unstructured toe box, providing a lower profile to the Northwest Last in an accommodating E width with moderate volume, and an elegant, classic round toe shape with a generous forefoot that matches a wide variety of feet. A lower heel, equipped with the trademark Arch-Ease leather shank support, offers a more approachable break-in for this fully functional work boot. We exclusively enhanced White's hand-sewn, welted methods with a tonally corresponding Black CXL welt to match the black-stained leather midsole, atop a black Vibram 4014 Christy industrial sole, for all-purpose comfort. This is combined with a single-row, hand-sewn stitchdown to allow for greater flexibility and a clean aesthetic for the long haul. Finally, this Cutter comes with an outdoor-purpose, contrasting Natural CXL fully gusseted tongue and is refined with tonal oxidized eyelets and a leather pull loop, finished with a custom White's collar stamp and a WB x DR collaboration insole stamp. Made as a hallmark of White's unaltered, hand-sewn traditions and customized to Division Road specifications, this 350 LTT Cutter is made for a life that traverses the woods and the workshop, with a polished aesthetic suitable for the street.

    Notes

This is a hand-sewn, hand-welted stitchdown workwear boot made to withstand a lifetime in challenging conditions, with a focus on durability first. Irregularity is indicative of this rare boot-making process, and as such, each pair is unique. We suggest our customers embrace the character, hand-grade details, and variation of this footwear, as that is what makes it special. This product is not for those seeking a highly refined or lighter-weight build. For more information on White's production, see our White's Factory Tour.

    Sizing

White's sizing is consistent to our old grade manufacturers and the Northwest Last typically is equal to a White's 55 Last, Viberg, or Tricker's for most feet. Generally when sizing for White's, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden, or one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down from a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance. Please feel free to Contact Us for assistance.

Our Sizing Guide provides brand-specific Sizing and Last information. For comprehensive information on our footwear, including how this product type should fit, sizing, and Last details for all brands, consult our Footwear Guide.

    Collection: White's

The White’s legacy began in 1853 when Edward White created a solo boot making venture in pre-Civil War Connecticut shoeing loggers and soldiers. His son, John, briefly took his master craft to the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia in 1880 before relocating the business in 1900 to the Pacific Northwest where it remains today. In 1910, John’s son Otto grew the family business into the White Shoe Company based in Spokane, Washington. The White family built a reputation for producing...
