Tricker's Monty Chukka - 4497 - Dainite - Horween Cognac Predator

Monty Chukka - 4497 - Dainite - Horween Cognac Predator

The Tricker's x Division Road Horween Cognac Predator Monty Chukka is an exclusive collaboration with the definitive maker of English Country footwear, using a premium Horween hard-wearing leather upper paired with a Dainite sole. This Division Road exclusive style utilizes the new Predator Leather recipe by Horween®, made as a combination tannage that uses a high content of stuffed oils and waxes to create pull-up on the buffed matte grain and allow the ingredients to come to the surface for protection and tonal highs-lows. Coming in a burnt dark tan Cognac, this leather is robust and flexible and will patina beautifully in shades of brown with a vintage aesthetic. The Monty Chukka is a Division Road adaptation of the new Tricker's Evedon style, turning back the clock with clean-lined refinement via a higher quarter and integrated counter pattern to yield a simple style where the hearty build and natural character of the leather are of primary focus. All Tricker's undergo 260 individual steps in which craftspeople include a mulling concoction to infuse the uppers with oils, a wooden shank, a corking compound from a century-old recipe, and exquisite English finishing. This heritage-inspired Monty Chukka's robust silhouette is achieved by using the 4497s Last, which creates a substantial yet elegant design that accommodates a variety of foot types. This results in a simple boardroom-to-boondocks focused boot that combines country footwear build-quality with a contemporary form, made to the refined craftsmanship standards expected from a Tricker's. With its natural Barbour storm welt and midsole, a British-made Dainite sole, and tonal tan eyelets, this boot takes a British new-classic to refined heights while acting as a solid base for any ensemble. As England's oldest shoemaker, Royal warrant holder, originator of the country boot, and one of the first and few still utilizing traditional Goodyear welting to the highest standards of quality in the industry, a Tricker's truly is made to last a lifetime in all conditions.

Joseph Tricker’s son-in-law, Walter James Barltrop, created the first model of the now famous waterproof country boot in 1848, when he was just seven years old. Barltrop propelled a second key innovation at Tricker’s when he introduced the Goodyear Welting machine at the turn of the 20th... View All Tricker's Products
