Collaborations and Releases with Tricker’s and Anonymous Ism

This week, we are pleased to present a footwear-focused release of collaborations with Tricker’s and Anonymous Ism socks. These pieces will serve as solid ensemble foundations in a wardrobe — offering a wide range of stylistic flexibility — and are unique in every aspect, from their raw materials to their craftsmanship.

As the weather heats up, we have some seasonally focused Tricker’s shoe make-ups that will serve equally well in fall and winter. Anonymous Ism returns to the sock lineup with some of the finest Go Hemp Crews and a Full Pile 2-Pack for easy, high-quality accouterment-building. We’ve always believed that the best way to create a collection and fit filled with good goods is to start with footwear, and this drop is certain to start the journey or fill the gaps.

Tricker’s x Division Road

For over a decade, we’ve been working exclusively with Tricker’s on a collaborative basis, and we firmly believe they offer the best value-oriented rebuildable footwear in the market. They are stylistically unique and adaptable, and special in every aspect of the craft. Long ago, we began sourcing leathers directly for our Tricker’s make-ups, first from Horween, then from CF Stead, and, recently, from some of Italy’s best tanneries. There has always been something inherently interesting about taking the United States’ premier leathers from Horween, known for their robust performance, and making an indestructible boot or shoe in England’s best factory for countryside footwear. In this release, we present two novel personalities using Horween’s trademark tannages, completed with considered specifications for limited editions that are as practical as they are original.

Tricker’s x DR Horween Black CXL Bourton Brogue Derby

Every wardrobe needs a black brogue for casual to more formal occasions, one that can adapt over the years to numerous style explorations from vintage to forward. Whether channeling a rock-and-roll greaser, an Ivy-style enthusiast, runway looks from menswear 1.0, or Japanese street style, the Tricker’s x DR Black CXL Bourton will provide historical reference and an authentic-quality foundation for any fit journey. Made with mill-dyed Black Chromexcel for color consistency over time, formed on the traditional 4444 Last, and equipped with the signature natural Barbour welt and leather midsole, it is Goodyear-welted to an elegant, all-purpose Ridgeway sole. This shoe provides all the essential elements to be a trusted companion, easily pairing with everything from denim to tailored trousers and fitting slim, classic, or relaxed silhouettes.

Tricker’s x DR Horween Brown Nut Derby Daniel Tramping Shoe

Equally important in a wardrobe is a stylish walking shoe, and, in full transparency, these can be pretty boring by default. For our iterations of this functional fundamental, we pair the often tonal specifications with a unique leather with profound patina potential. The Tricker’s x DR Brown Nut Derby Daniel is perfectly designed to exhibit unique grain character with a simple two-piece pattern that allows Horween’s most rustic vegetable-tanned Derby leather to evolve with each wear, developing a layered, aged quality. This simple make-up on the 4497 Last — with tonal details, a dark brown storm welt, and a Vibram Vi-Lite hiking sole that provides bounce, comfort, stability, and flexibility — has all the features to become that often-worn grandpa-hipster shoe. Translating to that style profile, this is an excellent foundation for drape-heavy fabrics, classic to relaxed-fit denim and trousers, and more exploratory ensembles with more extreme color and pattern combinations, aided by a solid, character-rich, damn simple, and special shoe.

Anonymous Ism

Both of this week’s footwear collaborations, along with our other unique explorations, require proper accompaniment. Even staple pieces like tees are worth upgrading to best-in-class, since they are worn often and heavily. The goodness of goods that are staple yet special is commonly achieved through the raw materials used and the production stages that are less obvious in the visual result. These foundations of quality and importance to the wardrobe itself should not be ignored and are fundamental to our daily experience with these products. Our personal favorites for staple socks are Anonymous Ism, and we developed the in-house trademark Division Road Go Hemp Mélange Crew years ago, which a few of the crew wear pretty much every day.

Anonymous Ism is back at it with another Go Hemp series, using trusted organic cotton and hemp-blended yarns for the Crew, in an undyed Oat and Grey colorway with texture and tonal interest that signal this is no ordinary sock. A new development in the Go Hemp collection is the Thick Pile Crew, with a higher hemp fiber content blended with organic cotton and loopback knitting that yields a fluffed fleece feel, furthered by vintage-inspired roll-back knit cuffs. Coming in an undyed Wheat and Black mélange, these are perfect for a natural, earthy take on 80s throwbacks. Then, the new Full Pile Crew comes in solid Off White and Black for minimal staples, with a hefty feel, natural elasticity, and bounce to the knit, making pulled-up or slouched-down styling a comfortable joy with a clean, considered look.
