The English Dress Hunt Jacket by MotivMfg x Division Road is designed as a meeting point between tailored officer riding and dutiful industrial-era workwear blazers, perfectly balanced in design to be a wardrobe staple for an Original Gentleman. This piece is derived from 1920s sack jacket patterns and re-designed with an anatomically tailored fit with a single back piece folded into shape to provide structure and form in the same type of durable material that epitomized the originals to create a cut that parallels vintage and contemporary. This jacket is made in the luxurious and technical Optim™ Wool developed and produced by Woolmark® as a wind, wrinkle, and water-resistant suiting grade woolen with a light all-season weight and a dense, structured drape. This 8 oz. Optim® Wool Gabardine uses undyed 100% Merino wool fibers that have been stretched in spinning and shrunken in wet-finishing for a smooth twill weave that highlights and enhances the wool's natural tonal color texture, weather resistance, breathability, temperature regulation, and durability. This English Dress Hunt Jacket is designed with a peak lapel, buttoned closure, and rolling 3-button front to allow for dress-to-outerwear versatility, function, and style with a Rayon blend fabric used for the half-body and sleeve lining to provide a structured drape with mobility, along with a functional button cuff for practical refinement. Paying homage to the originals but elevated with tailored sophistication, this jacket has beautifully shaped and utilitarian pocketing like a welt chest pocket, two front welted pockets with flaps that will tuck in for different formats and functions, along with dual chest interior buttoned patch pockets for the tools of your trade. This piece is packed with superior bespoke and old-world detailing like felled seams, bartack reinforcements throughout, and genuine ebony horn buttons with a unique matte finish.
