This USMD Jacket is crafted from a 14 oz. Natural Beige Dyed Twill Chino Cloth developed and loomed exclusively for T.T in Japan, which has been mercerized for a luxurious finish and structured drape. Reimagined from yesteryear with refinement, this cloth is dyed using natural Kakishibu persimmon and Yamamomo Bayberry extracts used for medicinal purposes and dyeing Samurai garments in the Heian period for a piece that is one-of-a-kind and will evolve to the wearer. Guided by the Applied Archaeology ethos and Taiga Takahashi archives, this piece resurrects a relic of the past to serve as an artifact of the future by blending aesthetic principles rooted in Japanese concepts of craftsmanship and beauty. Paying homage to the antique original, the Convalescent Jacket has a directional military-meets-sportswear fit with set-in sleeves, a sharp elongated point collar, and an uncoated iron snap front closure with a double snapped wide hem and a natural dyed corozo top button, completed with reinforced slant welt lower hand pockets.
