Plain-weave Plaid cloth milled by Marling & Evans® one of England’s oldest mills, dating to 1782. Using specialty twisted yarns to prevent wrinkling and add durability, woven from 100% British Wool in a graduated chestnut-brown plaid is offset with grey-scale accents on a charcoal field for a timeless update to a vintage pattern, and is subtly brushed to a naturally soft flannel finish in a cloth that will drape beautifully. Designed to reference sack jackets used in formal to workwear applications from the 1920s-1960s, the Simple Jacket is unstructured and unlined with a classic notch collar, a 2-button single breast front, and a single-piece back for a dress-casual style that will meet many occasions in a cut that's just right for most body types.
