Description

The EasyMoc x Division Road Natural CXL and Chocolate Grizzly Scout Boot Double Bottom is a fully functional mid-height boot exclusively designed in collaboration with founder Greg Cordeiro. Made to serve in daily duty for the style savvy looking to represent workshop craft, this boot highlights Maine’s finest traditions of hand-lasted, hand-sewn, true moccasin production. This Division Road make-up has a full upper made with the classic, undyed Natural Chromexcel that will patina and darken through continued exposure as deep scuffs and high wear areas reveal the lighter color of the natural core beneath. Chromexcel by Horween is the original pull-up leather developed from a nearly century-old secret recipe of techniques, materials, and finishes and is known for its flexibility, comfort, and durability. For a two-toned configuration that speaks into true moccasin construction, Chocolate Grizzly leather from Seidel Tannery is used for the double sole and back stay with an integrated pull loop for a full triple vamp upper with a leather lining that is hand-lasted on an adapted vintage moccasin boot form for an accommodating fit that allows the hand-sewn leather construction to mold to the foot. This boot pattern comes above the ankle with a reinforced quarter using a unique heavy-duty sail stitch, natural upper thread including the heavy gauge waxed moccasin toe, heel, and overcast stitching, and is completed with tonal antique brass eyelets for a make-up refined for the city and well-equipped to explore the woods. The Scout Boot DB is assembled for a lifetime of utility using considered elements including an Ortholite® Comfort Hybrid Recycled Footbed for a modern interior and a Blake welted insole to a dark brown leather midsole for full re-craftability. For proportional balance and a stable surface, the Scout Boot DB is completed with an outsole stitched midsole atop a Vibram 2062 Olympic sole ideal for hiking, camping, and trekking in a workman-made moccasin that styles up to your best heritage or modern ensembles.

Preserving and propelling this rare production type is a cast of craft-passionate characters on the production floor with over 300 years of collective footwear-making experience. Based in Lewiston, Maine, for ten years this factory has been producing heavier, genuine handsewn moccasins that larger factories can’t achieve due...
