Description

The EasyMoc x Division Road CF Stead Bronze Unicorn Carrabasset Camp is a fully functional moccasin shoe designed in collaboration with founder Greg Cordeiro. Made to serve in daily duty for the style-savvy looking to represent workshop craft, this shoe highlights Maine’s finest traditions of hand-lasted, hand-sewn, true moccasin production. This Division Road make-up is made with Bronze Unicorn, produced by the storied C.F. Stead, known for making some of the finest leathers in the world. The Unicorn is an aniline-dyed combination re-tannage using hand-selected wild Scandinavian Elk hides that are subtly sanded for a nubuck finish that reveals the remarkable grain characteristics, then treated with a wax coating in the tanning process that yields a matte finish with an added layer of protection to an already robust, yet flexible leather. Coming in dusty khaki-tan Bronze, this leather will evolve subtly as the grain reveals through a matte finish, developing highs and lows in light to medium shades of brown. The fully leather-lined, double vamp upper is hand-lasted on an adapted vintage moccasin boot form for an accommodating fit that allows the moccasin hand-sewn leather construction to mold to the foot. This camp pattern is complemented with a high sidewall and collar with tan leather laces running through tonal antique brass eyelets into the plug to adjust the locked slip-on fit and is completed with a heavy gauge waxed moccasin toe and overcast stitching for a make-up refined for the city and well-equipped to explore the woods. The Carrabasset Camp is assembled for a lifetime of utility using considered elements, including a Leather Ortholite® Comfort Hybrid Footbed for an elevated modern interior and a Blake welted insole to a natural leather midsole for full re-craftability. For flexibility, proportional balance, and a stable surface, the Carrabasset Camp is completed with an outsole stitched midsole atop a Vibram 100 Montagna Honey Lug sole, making it ideal for hiking and camping. This trekking style is designed for stable striding from concrete to campsite in a workman-made moccasin that styles up to your best heritage or modern ensembles.
