The Studio D’Artisan SP-110 Regular Straight Tapered Extreme Slub Denim is a high rise with a roomy seat and thigh that gently tapers through the leg to a wide hem to yield a modern straight cut for a wide variety of body types. This vintage-inspired jean is made with the limited and exclusive 45th Anniversary 16 oz. Extreme Denim using slub and nep yarns woven with moderate tension for a heavily textured denim that will soften quickly to develop a structured drape and unique patina. This unsanforized denim is loomed with Kasezome hand, pot-dyed warp and weft yarns using Kakishibu natural persimmon extracts and tannins originally used for dying Samurai and Yamabushi garments in the Heian period. This rare and intricately produced, low-tension shrink-to-fit denim will develop a personalized vintage-style fade and fit as it forms nicely to the body of its wearer after the first wash or soak. Topped off with signature Studio D’Artisan touches like the embossed and painted cowhide leather patch, heavy-duty twill pocket bags, embossed copper riveting, a blackened brass button fly, and a chainstitched waist, seat, and hem, these jeans are your first step on a journey into the past through present styles, transported to you by a standout 40-year-old producer of heritage denim.
