Traditional Harness Leather tanned by Wickett & Craig in Pennsylvania using hand-selected cowhides. Since 1867, Wickett & Craig has remained an exclusively vegetable tannery, using signature recipes of mimosa and bark tannins, along with environmentally friendly practices, to produce leathers that perform in the harshest conditions of equestrian, farm, and outdoor life. Traditional Harness is tanned with a proprietary recipe of hot-stuffed waxes, oils, and tallows. Hides are then lightly drum-dyed and jack-glazed to bring the oils to the grain, enhancing the natural character of the hides with exquisite finishing that allows for a layered patina.
