Description

The Viberg Black Wooly CXL Service Boot is an updated version of Viberg’s original work boot, designed by company founder Edwin Viberg in 1931 and inspired by a standard issue military boot pattern used by several nations during WWII. This Viberg limited edition Service Boot leverages Black Wooly Chromexcel by Horween®, a rare recipe variation of the original pull-up leather developed from a nearly century-old secret recipe of techniques, materials, and finishes. This tannage uses lanolin as its primary oil ingredient, providing a naturally waxy finish with enhanced weather resistance, durability, flexibility, and comfort to a leather already known for those trademark characteristics. The leather is drum dyed for a consistent color that will remain black and subtly patina by revealing a sophisticated grain. Molded on the 310 Last pulled from archive work boot forms with a high profile vamp and rockabilly upturned toe, this functional heritage throwback boot is complemented with gun-black eyelets, an antiqued finished leather midsole atop a British-made Split Dainite sole, and a sculpted heel for a functional heritage throwback. With each boot carefully assembled by exacting Viberg craftspeople using stitchdown construction, this piece is perfect for those seeking an easily paired, classic Service Boot taken to the next level of craft and refinement.
