Description

The Viberg x Division Road Nutmeg Waxed Kudu Service Boot is an updated version of Viberg’s original work boot, designed by company founder Edwin Viberg in 1931 and inspired by a standard issue military boot pattern used by several nations during WWII. This exclusive-to-Division Road Service Boot uses Waxed Kudu produced by the storied C.F. Stead, known for making some of the finest leathers in the world. This leather is an aniline-dyed combination re-tannage using hand-selected wild African Kudu antelope hides that are remarkably flexible, strong, and have distinct grain characteristics, enhanced with a subtle wax application that yields a matte finish with pull-up qualities and an added layer of protection. Molded on the 2055 Last that has a lower-profiled silhouette in an accommodating Munson-based fit that provides refinement to the original military shape, this boot is complemented with a cap toe, oxidized copper eyelets, and a natural leather midsole atop a British-made Ridgeway sole to provide lug traction in an elegant design for a functional new-heritage essential. With each boot carefully assembled by exacting Viberg craftspeople using stitchdown construction, this piece is perfect for those seeking an easily paired, classic Service Boot taken to the next level of craft and refinement.
