Description

The Dehen 1920 x Division Road Varsity Jacket in Fox Brothers® Amber Brown Windowpane Tweed and Antique Brandy Leather is a sophisticated take on one of the brand's iconic styles. Using a modern combination of tonal accents, this garment highlights Dehen's history as an established American heritage staple in a timeless design for the contemporary wardrobe. The Varsity Jacket has been a Dehen mainstay offering for over sixty years. It is still crafted by hand one at a time using traditional methods and the best materials available. This hallmark piece gets an updated twist for fall through spring in a specially sourced, limited bolt, heavyweight 18 oz. Amber Brown Windowpane Check Tweed Twill weave produced at the 200-year-old original Somerset mill by the world-famous Fox Brothers® using the finest 100% British Merino Wool in a highly worsted, suiting grade fabric engineered for the outdoors. Since 1772, Fox Brothers has produced top-tier textiles used in many applications, from Savile Row tailoring to British Military garments. By sourcing the best fibers from around the world and using intensive hand-driven milling and cording processes, they produce fabrics of the highest grade with comfort, density, and durability, all wrapped into one. This incredibly flexible and robust cloth comes in a natural palette to reflect the Devon coast countryside meeting the Exmoor wilderness that it's designed to confront and boasts a complex autumn-toned windowpane check in a twill weave using shades of brown, amber, and rust for a sophisticated aesthetic and luxuriously textured finish. This modern-meets-heritage Varsity Jacket collaboration is completed with Antique Brandy leather sleeves and welt pocket trim that is vegetable-tanned and waxed for a durable finish that will evolve with a layered patina and luxurious feel. Furthering the tonal components for subtle statements with throwback nostalgia, this Varsity Jacket is completed with an antique brass snap front placket, quilted and insulated Rayon satin lining, a leather-trimmed interior chest pocket, and a brown knit worsted wool rib rolled collar, hem, and cuffs all made on Dehen's own 1940s weaving machines. Combining exceptional fabrics in a perfected heritage-inspired design, this Dehen 1920 x Division Road piece evokes a new-classic spirit by way of the British Isles to become a collectible that can be treasured in its daily use.
