Description

The Dehen 1920 x Division Road Winston Jacket is made in a limited bolt, heavyweight 18 oz. Charcoal Military Serge Twill weave produced at the 200-year-old original Somerset mill by the world-famous Fox Brothers® using the finest 100% British Wool in a worsted, suiting grade fabric engineered for the outdoors. Since 1772, Fox Brothers has produced top-tier textiles used in various applications, including Savile Row tailoring and British Military garments. By sourcing the finest fibers from around the world and utilizing intensive, hand-driven milling and cording processes, they produce fabrics of the highest grade, combining comfort, density, and durability in one. This incredibly flexible and robust cloth is a more crisp and textured version of the Fox Covert Cloth introduced in the early 1900s as a regimental riding material that is featured in the V&A Museum for its deep ties to historic milling processes. This Military Serge is woven as a directional twill with a more distinct stepped warp and weft, providing outdoor protection for officers and gentlemen alike in a greyscale charcoal for a sophisticated battlefield-ready aesthetic. The Winston Jacket is inspired by classic bombers and gentleman's jackets, offering a timeless design with a perfectly proportioned fit. Enhanced with a special fabric designed for lifelong resistance to inclement weather, it is suitable for all environments, from street-side to the frontlines. This piece — which has become a collectible addition to the Dehen lineup of hand-crafted outerwear made from the finest materials — is enhanced with a black genuine mouton shearling collar, tonal corozo buttons for the front placket and flap front patch pockets with side hand entry, an interior chest pocket, a buttoned collar latch, and is fully satin-lined. Finally, the piece is finished with matte black snaps and a black knit worsted wool ribbed hem and fold-back cuffs made with Dehen's own 1940s weaving machines. Combining excellent fabrics with a perfected heritage-inspired design, this Dehen 1920 x Division Road piece evokes a new-classic spirit, drawing inspiration from the British Isles to become a collectible that can be treasured through its daily use.

    Collection: Dehen 1920

Founded in 1920 by William Peter Dehen, this Portland-based company started by creating high quality varsity and collegiate sweaters for student athletes and then expanded into supplying local motorcycle clubs with custom riding sweaters. Nearing a century-long tradition of heavy-duty, quality manufacturing, it is likely that your father’s varsity jacket or grandfather’s letterman sweater was made by Dehen. Now, the company is creating variations on heritage styles without compromising the build to yield new classics meant to endure as antique...
