Description

The Dehen 1920 x Division Road Flyers Club Bomber is made in a limited bolt, heavyweight 18 oz. Slate Grey Check Tweed Twill weave produced at the 200-year-old original Somerset mill by the world-famous Fox Brothers® using the finest 100% British Merino Wool in a highly worsted, suiting grade fabric engineered for the outdoors. Since 1772, Fox Brothers has produced top-tier textiles used in many applications, from Savile Row tailoring to British Military garments. By sourcing the best fibers from around the world and using intensive hand-driven milling and cording processes, they produce fabrics of the highest grade with comfort, density, and durability, all wrapped into one. This incredibly flexible and robust cloth comes in a natural palette to reflect the Devon coast countryside meeting the Exmoor wilderness that it's designed to confront and boasts a complex greyscale check in a twill weave using shades that range from dark charcoal to light grey for a sophisticated aesthetic and luxuriously textured finish. A new classic Dehen design, the Flyers Club Bomber is inspired by MA-1 Flight Jackets from the 1950s to pay homage to Bill Dehen's military service and offers a clean, perfectly proportioned design enhanced with a unique fabric made for lifelong resistance to inclement weather; making it appropriate in all environments from the backwoods to the battlefield. What is a timeless addition to Dehen's hand-crafted outerwear offerings using the finest materials available, this piece elevates the original with welted hand pockets, a military-grade two-way brass zipper, a concealed storm placket front, an interior vertical chest pocket, and is fully lined in Japanese rayon. Finally, the Flyers Club Bomber is finished with a knit worsted wool ribbed flat collar, hem, and cuffs made with Dehen's 1940s weaving machines. Combining exceptional fabrics in a perfected heritage-inspired design, this Dehen 1920 x Division Road piece evokes a new-classic spirit by way of the British Isles to become a collectible that can be treasured in its daily use.

    Collection: Dehen 1920

Founded in 1920 by William Peter Dehen, this Portland-based company started by creating high quality varsity and collegiate sweaters for student athletes and then expanded into supplying local motorcycle clubs with custom riding sweaters. Nearing a century-long tradition of heavy-duty, quality manufacturing, it is likely that your father’s varsity jacket or grandfather’s letterman sweater was made by Dehen.
