Description

The Dehen 1920 x Division Road Carrier Jacket is made in a versatile Olive Martexin Waxed Army Duck Canvas to be an all-season, weather-resistant, and dutiful jacket that will evolve with a patina unique to the wearer. Coming from the last producer of waxed canvas left in the United States, this 100% Cotton cloth is a 10 oz. Military-grade Duck Canvas weave with consistent tension and structured form waxed to a 12.5 oz. weight to be "tough as duck." This refined Carrier Jacket provides resistance to inclement weather with a Martexin® Original Waxed Canvas used by the military for generations in the harsh environment of sea, in a formula made from a propriety and environmentally friendly food and pharmaceutical grade wax that will dramatically break in while offering long-term protection, making it equally appropriate in both urban environments and on the battlefield. A recent Dehen design, the Carrier Jacket is inspired by Naval and Air Force flight bombers introduced in WWII to pay homage to Bill Dehen's military service and offers a clean, stylistically versatile, and perfectly proportioned design enhanced with a high-grade waxed cloth. What is sure to become a signature addition to the Dehen line-up of hand-crafted outerwear offerings using the best materials available, this piece is elevated with concealed snap flap front patch pockets with side hand entry, a vertical snapped interior chest pocket, a military-grade two-way brass zipper with an interior storm placket, and a point collar with zigzag reinforced stitching. Finally, the piece is fully finished with Japanese rayon lining for the body and sleeves and a knit worsted wool ribbed hem and fold-back cuffs, all made with Dehen's own 1940s weaving machines. The Dehen 1920 x Division Road Waxed Army Duck Carrier Jacket is an outerwear garment informed by the past and built for adventures ahead, looking for daily duty in the downtown or on deck.

    Collection: Dehen 1920

Founded in 1920 by William Peter Dehen, this Portland-based company started by creating high quality varsity and collegiate sweaters for student athletes and then expanded into supplying local motorcycle clubs with custom riding sweaters. Nearing a century-long tradition of heavy-duty, quality manufacturing, it is likely that your father’s varsity jacket or grandfather’s letterman sweater was made by Dehen. Now, the company is creating variations on heritage styles without compromising the build to yield new classics meant to endure as antique...
