Description

The Viberg x Division Road Conceria Champagne Washed Vacchetta 800 Chelsea Boot is a Victorian-era style that has evolved over several centuries. The perfected version from the Viberg collection gives a nod to the 60's mod scene and contemporary fashions. After several variations in development, acquiring specialty machinery, and instituting new production techniques, Viberg created the exceptional high Chelsea whole-cut upper pattern with a formed shaft to set their version apart as a more functional boot for the outdoors while maintaining a level of refinement absent in other renditions. This exclusive-to-Division Road Chelsea Boot uses a limited batch, vegetable-tanned recipe from Conceria, one of Italy's most exclusive tanneries specializing in hand-selected and finished European Bovine hides using environmentally friendly processes that maintain the natural properties of the leathers. This leather is cordovan pit-tanned using oak and mimosa bark and vegetable tannins to preserve the unique character of the hides, left purely undyed. It is washed and hand-oiled to enhance the nude coloration that will match any ensemble and condition while developing an unmatched, rich patina. The new Chelsea 2030 Last maintains the riding boot silhouette while providing a more accommodating fit with a military-dress disposition. This high Chelsea comes countryside-ready with tonal specifications throughout, including a sand tan elastic gusset and fabric pull loop with a natural leather scalloped storm welt and midsole atop the sustainably made, comfortable, and high-traction Lactae Hevea TZAR Crepe Sole for a fully functional style piece. Setting the bar even higher, this boot leverages Goodyear welting using traditional techniques coupled with channeled insoles produced by Viberg's exacting craftspeople, resulting in a lifetime piece that will withstand the elements in a distinctive style and evolve for the modern-leaning and vintage-inspired alike.

Sizing

Viberg sizing is consistent with our old-grade manufacturers, and the 2030 Last is frequently equal to a Tricker’s or White’s for most feet. Generally, when sizing for Viberg, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden or one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down from a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance. The Wholecut 2030 Chelsea does fit marginally larger than a normal 2030 Lasted boot or shoe. Consider taking the smaller size of your range in Viberg, or taking a half (.5) size down from your typical Viberg size. Please feel free to Contact Us for assistance.
