This week, we present a tonally coordinated collection highlighting Japanese craftsmanship and its superpowers through indigo, fabrics, and revitalized heritage styles and construction techniques. Two iconic examples of heavyweight one-roof producers in Japan are Iron Heart and Samurai, known for developing unparalleled exclusive fabrics that reflect their unique identities, resulting in vintage-inspired designs elevated to wearable collectibles. To complement the extraordinary and rare nature of specialties from Japan, we feature an Americana cult classic White’s collaboration, made in Spokane, WA, and collected in Japan.
Iron Heart
In a classic palette of indigo and khaki, we present our new collection of specialty staples from Iron Heart, designed to endure tough conditions and coordinate with ease. A refreshed version of the Work Jacket features the same refined fit that elegantly blends the trucker and shop jacket, now available in the 12 oz. Khaki Kurashikizome® Beige Twill, ensuring sustainability and functionality for exceptional performance in the wild or workshop. Our preferred flannel recipe utilizes indigo rope-dyed yarns for rare patina potential in an all-season 9 oz. Selvedge Unbrushed Flannel.
Offered as a limited seasonal release, the new Indigo Black Check introduces a modern take on a traditional tartan in both the Western and Work Shirt styles. Samurai
From the trusted garment makers who embody the relentless warrior spirit required to break in most of the products we offer, Samurai brings the denim mentality to every category, combining durability with distinct detailing. Their method of creating patterns for unsanforized loomstate fabrics, which are then washed and sun-dried, results in an ideal fit that conforms remarkably to the body. The refined Relaxed Tapered S211 fit is available in a new 17oz. Bushido Benkei Indigo with a vintage blue cast and super-slub texture that will develop a uniquely soft and hearty texture with irregular fades that surpass those of yesteryear.
By flipping the patina process for the vintage-inspired Regular Straight S510 fit, an exceptional undyed 18 oz. Kinari Selvedge denim crafted from Samurai’s farmed Japanese cotton showcases the natural flecks of this rare fiber bursting from the slubs’ twisted yarns. For a Chino designed with a denim enthusiast's bold mentality, the SJ48CP Wide Straight is made from heavyweight 15 oz. Khaki Selvedge Chino Cloth, saturated to a light brown for a rugged retro look in a cut that is as current as it gets. Finally, to celebrate the Year of the Snake, we present a Work Shirt crafted from indigo-dyed yarns in a Snakeskin Jacquard that will reveal its pattern through patina.
White’s x Division Road
For an American icon heavily collected in Japan, we have completed our latest C.F. Stead Pack using limited dye lots for one-off collectibles with the White’s Stone Rambler Springdale HSC 350 collaboration. Utilizing the C461 Last, which features an identifiable sprung toe and an anatomical fit that comfortably contours to the foot, this functional work boot with a vintage aesthetic is suitable for factory and forest floors. The Stone Rambler from the UK’s finest, C.F. Stead, is a heavy, full-weight steer butt roughout, air-dried for a tighter grain structure and finished with a hardened wax.
This heavy-duty leather, rich in character, makes each pair unique, showcasing a worn-in vibe that improves with wear and can withstand any condition.
