Description

The Nicks Handmade Boot x Division Road Greener Pastures Shackleton Jungle Jump Boot draws inspiration from Vietnam War military issues, designed for Rangers and paramilitary personnel. Taking Nicks' classic 7" work boot pattern and customizing every detail possible from the panel pieces to the stitching design and all specifications, this is a limited edition style-forward collaboration with one of the finest makers in the Pacific Northwest. This exclusive-to-Division Road Jungle Jump Boot uses a rare batch of Greener Pastures Shackleton by Horween®, developed as a waterproof workboot leather with a natural finish and grain profile. Using full-weight steer hides in a tannage similar to Chromexcel, the Shackleton recipe incorporates a unique hand oiling and bending step to produce a durable, flexible, pull-up leather that develops a subtle patina and requires minimal maintenance. Molded on the Munson-inspired HNW Last, this boot provides a gripped fit and rounded toe, making it a fully functional, outdoor-appropriate, and intrinsically lifetime build. It is complemented with a fully gusseted black leather tongue, coordinated Nicks Handmade Boots x Division Road false tongues, and a flex notch eyestay. With a design-centric approach to utility, our custom stitching configurations are complemented with antique eyelets, a black leather midsole, and a Vibram Sierra industrial outdoor sole assembled with 360-degree Stitchdown construction by Nicks' craftspeople in Spokane, Washington. This Division Road style perspective on Nicks 60-year-old tradition of using time-tested methods, premium materials, and an unwavering commitment to quality offers a tool, a companion, and a reflection of the person who wears it.

    Sizing

Nick’s sizing is consistent with our old grade manufacturers, and the HNW Last in an E Width typically is equal to a White's, Viberg, or Tricker's for most feet. Generally, when sizing for Nicks, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden Barrie/Trubalance. From a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance take one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down for a snug fit, and one (1) size down for a casual lifestyle fit. Born in 1922, Nick’s early life was shaped by war and survival after escaping German-occupied territory during WWII. Captured and forced into labor in Hamburg before being liberated in 1945, Nikolai immigrated to Spokane, Washington, with his family, where he honed his skills with local boot-making brands serving the industrial community. He channeled his...
