This week, we're going back to basics, emphasizing staples and original designs that form the foundation of our approach: footwear. One of our original collaborations with White’s was the Black CXL Logger, and it remains as popular and sought after today as it was when it was first released over six years ago. At the core of our collaboration philosophy is the preservation of a maker’s build, range of utility, and overall aesthetic while we push the boundaries.
Our Black CXL Logger embodied that directive, and we have added an equally valid counterpart to the original White’s, offering a new perspective in the Brown CXL Logger—also designed for the discerning.
Both the Old School and New Standard Loggers share specifications with the traditional 55 Last, known as one of the best mid-heel height work boot forms and fits in the game, featuring a quad-stitch cap-toe, MP counter, Split Commando lug sole, and built with the trademark double-row welted stitchdown construction. Rugged enough to chop down trees and fight wildfires, yet polished enough for solid style in city streets, farmers’ markets, or wandering woodland treks, the CXL Logger 350s are ready for your wild, weird, and wonder-full journey.
White’s x DR Black CXL Logger 350
The Bad Black Logger is back with a full restock for everyone who has been waiting or, honestly, obsessing over this make-up reemerging. Designed as a black boot for a brown boot guy, it’s crafted to ebonize from sole to shaft with Horween’s Black Chromexcel. With a single dye-struck grain and natural “tea-core,” this leather will evolve and burnish over time as shades of brown emerge beneath the black dye. Paired with oxidized eyelets and a tonally corresponding Brown CXL hand welt, this boot features a brown-stained leather midsole and heel, giving it an authentic vintage workwear appearance that can do everything or more than yesteryears’ could. The Black CXL Logger 350 offers strong proportions, an unbreakable build, and the sophistication of hand-crafted perfection.

The Brave Brown Logger reinterprets these refined specifications for a tonally consistent collaboration that is striking out of the box and is designed to look its best when worn hard over time. The trademark Brown CXL features a dye-struck grain and natural core, which will develop a patina with layered shades of light to dark brown. This famous pull-up leather offers durability, flexibility, and a natural feel that will handle grit and age gracefully. Using tonally congruent, yet contrasting specifications of oxidized eyelets, a Natural CXL hand welt, and a natural leather midsole with a sculpted heel, this design recalls vintage archetypes for new iterations of classic styling. While drawing on the past, the refined tonal upper stitching, multi-panel upper, and all-leather build continue the rare tradition of craftsmanship in a modern make-up that coordinates with ease.
