Collaborations and Releases with Gitman Vintage and De Bonne Facture
Enduring style appears effortless, but behind that ease are artisans who focus on fabric, proportion, and subtle details that transform garments into daily companions. This week’s release features De Bonne Facture and Gitman Vintage, whose work embodies a relaxed sophistication that benefits from careful construction. From archival garments tailored with the finest European cloths to American shirts inspired by vintage styles channeled through Japanese mills, each piece balances casualness with sartorial depth. The result is a collection designed to move through the seasons with confidence and restraint, where nonchalance is intentional and thoughtfully achieved. Together, these garments form a wardrobe that feels natural, versatile, and subtly elevated.
De Bonne Facture
From our Parisian design house, this release embodies effortless sophistication with a Spring–Summer style that will serve a wardrobe well beyond the season. The renowned Grandad Trench Coat arrives in an all-season Wool-Cotton blended Covert Cloth, developed by De Bonne Facture with a traditional British mill that is several centuries old to faithfully recreate the archival fabric that inspired the original Grandad Coat. The Student Jacket returns with refined executions in a midnight charcoal Prince of Wales Cold Wool Cloth and a sophisticated Prussian Blue Belgian Wool-Linen version, each enhancing the brand’s signature draped, dress-casual aesthetic. Completing the ensemble are the new Undyed Japanese Gabardine Twill Artist Shirt and Anthracite Prince of Wales Check Grandad Trousers. This assembly from DBF offers relaxed yet elegant combinations suited for occasions ranging from formal to frivolous.
Gitman Vintage x Division Road
To start the season with our core shirting specialist collaborator, we present wardrobe staples destined for heavy rotation thanks to their vintage-inspired qualities that make them highly versatile. Gitman collaborated closely with its partner mill in Japan to develop an Oxford cloth that reflects Amekaji’s nod to American workwear. Thick slub yarns create an irregularly tensioned plain weave, while specialized pre-production wash treatments produce a crisp yet naturally crinkled fabric with a lived-in feel. Offered in our exclusive neck sizing for a perfect off-the-rack fit, these shirts include collaborative details from solid Chalk and Denim Blue Camper styles to a fresh yarn-dyed triple Stripe in White and Blue, all featuring our modern, shortened collar configuration. Each Gitman x Division Road shirt becomes an essential base layer for outfits that transition smoothly across different styles and settings.
