With Iron Heart, we have the second edition of our premium wool CPO Shirt using a distinct South West Flannel article from Fox Brothers® to fill the wool shirting option often missing in even the most elevated, vintage-inspired wardrobe. With Tricker’s, we have some standby and exclusive patterns formed in rare leathers from Charles F. Stead® for limited run, foundational collectables that are sure to find themselves in immediate and regular rotation. We are proud of our maker’s work, stand behind our goods, and occasionally enjoy shouting the news from the top of the menswear mountain - this week’s collection really is the best from the best in the business, coming in one-and-done collaborations that will impress the most discerning craft-enthused collector.
Iron Heart x Division Road
Several years ago, we engaged in a long-term development with the goal of creating the perfectly evolved version of the original wool cloth Chief Petty Officer Shirt. The focus was on a fit that acts as shirting first and layering second, for year-round and multi-condition utility along with a finished feel that is sophisticated and stylish with all ensembles. Using specific, limited bolt wool cloths, we give you the second edition of the IHDR-434 Fox Brothers Wool CPO Shirt.
The baseline fit of this premier design is founded on Fox Bros. 14 oz. South West and West of England flannel recipes known to be the finest examples of worsted wool tailoring cloths, created and corded for duty in the outdoors with the hand-feel of cashmere. Coming this time in the Devon Twill Check with a wheat and tawney brown over cobalt blue field overcheck-twill, and an Arsenic Grey Barleycorn which is an old-world, rare, enlarged birdseye pattern using charcoal, grey, and black yarns, the palettes are intricate and versatile. Both 100% Lambswool cloths are designed to reflect the changing moods of England’s Southwest countryside and have a hallmark luxurious finish and feel that combines with an engineered structure and drape for two unique identities to serve any collector’s needs from the workshop to the woods. The simple, utilitarian design of the IHDR-434 Wool CPO pattern has refined signature cues with a strong collar, flap front patch chest pockets, and a buttoned front placket and cuffs. This wool shirt is further elevated with above military-grade melamine buttons and cotton twill trim lining, collar, and pocket edging, completed with a hidden pen pocket for a perfected, all-purpose piece.
Tricker’s x Division Road
One component of our enterprise with Tricker’s is to source leathers that are rare to the maker and the broader market, and this C.F. Stead Series leverages some of our recent finds on patterns exclusive to Division Road. Each make-up uses a different CFS article from a Nubuck Kudu, Desert Oasis Suede, Oiled Shoulder, and a Waxed Kudu. These differing full weight leathers will grant a specific personality to your individual pair of footwear that will evolve with the subtle character afforded by the Charles F. Stead aniline dyed and combination tanned criterion.
The Ebony Waxed Kudu Churchill Boot uses the officer dress pattern to highlight enhanced grain qualities in a blackened-brown palette that pairs to the Hunter Nubuck Woodstock Country Derby with its military-to-outdoor disposition, complemented by an earthy slate green-grey and softly sanded matte finish for a unique shoe option. Both make-ups utilize Goodyear Commando soles and tonal eyelets, pull tabs, storm welts, and midsole details to accentuate the wild character of these plains-roaming animal hides. With related design elements, we have two styles using steer hides that undergo decidedly different processes. The stout, high character of the Bordeaux Oiled Shoulder Stow’s waxed pull-up leather in a complex brown is paired to the Polo Brown Oiled Desert Oasis Suede Brett Derby Boot’s hyper-versatile color in a roughout suede with a luxurious, oily nap. Both make-ups use a natural Barbour welt atop the wet-to-dry appropriate Dainite sole and are completed with DR pull tabs and tonal eyelets to serve as daily duty boots that will embrace patina with fortitude. As a collection and individually, each style in this CFS Pack follows our method of designing footwear that is at once unique yet versatile, transforming a wardrobe by providing boundless inspiration.
