Description

The Dehen 1920 x Division Road Flyers Club Bomber is made in the rare, completely undyed Natural Martexin Waxed Army Duck Canvas to be an all-season, weather-resistant, and dutiful jacket designed to evolve with a patina unique to the wearer. Coming from the last producer of waxed canvas left in the United States, this 100% Undyed Cotton cloth shows tonal natural fiber flecks in a 10 oz. Military-grade Duck Canvas weave with consistent tension and structured form waxed to a 12.5 oz. weight to be "tough as duck." This refined Bomber Jacket provides resistance to inclement weather with a Martexin® Original Waxed Canvas used by the military for generations in the harsh environment of sea, in a formula made from a propriety and environmentally friendly food and pharmaceutical grade wax that will dramatically break in while offering long-term protection, making it equally appropriate in both urban environments and on the battlefield. A recent Dehen design, the Flyers Club Bomber is inspired by MA-1 Flight Jackets from the 1950s through the 60s to pay homage to Bill Dehen's military service and offer a clean, perfectly proportioned design enhanced with a high-grade waxed cloth. What is sure to become a timeless addition to the Dehen line-up of hand-crafted outerwear offerings using the best materials available, this piece elevates the original with welted hand pockets, a vertical snapped interior chest pocket, a military-grade two-way brass zipper with an interior storm placket, and is fully lined in Japanese rayon. Finally, the Flyers Club Bomber is finished with khaki tonal stitching to show its heavy-duty construction details and correspond with the brown knit worsted wool flat collar, rib hem, and cuffs, all made with Dehen's own 1940s weaving machines. The Dehen 1920 x Division Road Waxed Army Duck Flyers Club Bomber is an outerwear garment informed by the past and built for adventures ahead, looking for daily duty downtown or on deck.

    Collection: Dehen 1920

Founded in 1920 by William Peter Dehen, this Portland-based company started by creating high quality varsity and collegiate sweaters for student athletes and then expanded into supplying local motorcycle clubs with custom riding sweaters. Nearing a century-long tradition of heavy-duty, quality manufacturing, it is likely that your father’s varsity jacket or grandfather’s letterman sweater was made by Dehen. Now, the company is creating variations on heritage styles without compromising the build to yield new classics meant to endure as antique...
