Advancing Feminine Heritage

With broadly favorable and, in some instances, highly effusive feedback on our first editorial aimed at our female clients and audience, we present a second edition that continues this journey. Our intention is not for womenswear to comprise a significant part of our offerings. However, this endeavor is valuable for shaping our assessments on product design, styling, tailoring, and presentation. Embracing different perspectives across different spaces, whether architecture, art, design, or womenswear, helps elevate our primary focus on menswear and the experiences we provide.

As we have previously mentioned, women have few options for buying quality goods made with the same methods, practices, and ethical standards as heritage menswear. Even fewer options are available for fashionable and timeless apparel and footwear. Given the issues of overconsumption and waste, poor global working conditions, synthetic materials contaminating bodies and the planet, and a fashion cycle that relies on these costs as norms, we believe our input is worth the effort.

Working outside of that massive system is the best way to offer a solution. While we may make a negligible dent, presenting our easily wearable and tailorable goods to women while developing some female-focused pieces is a strong starting point. You’ll see tangible results from these ongoing projects within the year. Moving forward, we rely on our core audience to transmit the good word that heritage adapted for women can and will exist. With a focus on Fall-Winter and how to combine, layer, and mix the pieces we procure with a woman’s wardrobe and some of our brands already in that space, we give you Advancing Feminine Heritage at some of our favorite spots around town.

Marie Bette

Petite MarieBette is our go-to coffee and bakery shop, whether stopping by during Saturday Farmers Market, refueling after a lunch meeting, or starting the day right. Maja not only loves espresso but also handcrafts the cups.

Eastwood Farm & Winery

Just a short drive from downtown and The Fields, Eastwood offers all the amenities for a destination along the Monticello Trail. Its elevated casual location reflects its fine wine and cuisine. Erin, our resident artist and land maven, enjoys a good glass and small bites.
