Waxed Canvas produced by British Millerain® and milled from 100% Cotton. Founded in the 1880's in Yorkshire, UK, British Millerain is the world's first producer of waxed cotton ranges originally used for military purposes and their product remains one of the finest waxed canvases by using premium materials and leveraging technology with old-world tradition. Finished at the yarn state to remain weather resistant through years of wear, the waxed canvas subtly evolves in finish as it forms to the shape of the wearer. Crafted in the United Kingdom by the renowned outerwear engineer Mackintosh, The Workers Club x Division Road collaborations are developed for the dynamic and distinguished to withstand the test of time in effortless style. The TWCXDR Field Jacket is inspired by war-ready military issue garments as far back as WWII and is elevated to a modern wardrobe classic with a buttoned front storm placket concealing a military-grade brass RIRI® zipper, is fully lined in a cotton/viscose twill, has substantial finishing, and is equipped with a straight front and gusseted back shoulder panel for full reinforcement, mobility, and comfortable layering. Hallmarking the military inspiration with a contemporary mindset and functionality, this jacket comes with an oversized flap front patch chest pocket for both proportional balance and securing devices, lower flap front bellow patch pockets with side hand entry, a vertical interior chest pocket, a removable buttoned storm collar latch and gusseted adjustable button cuffs, and is completed with custom English-made corozo buttons throughout. Designed to be a stand-alone spring and fall outerwear piece that can be converted for full winter use with the signature zip-in Utility Gilet, this new classic is supremely crafted in English outerwear traditions at the modernized Mackintosh factory.
