Collaborations and Releases with MotivMfg and De Bonne Facture

Coming with another release that proportionately turns back the clock and envisions the future, we have the definition of timeless goods atelier made in France by De Bonne Facture and artisan crafted in Beijing by MotivMfg in one of the finest workshops outside of Savile Row. Finally, the talk of the fashion world is “Quiet Luxury.” The renewed interest of buying fewer and better things speaks to what we and our clients value at Division Road – premium classics, traceable sourcing at the highest levels, sustainability through longevity, and designs that are special but not loud. Two of the best brand examples of this sentiment are Motiv and DBF, which constantly astound with designs articulating inspirations from vintage art, architecture, and film into garments that merge workwear, military, and tailoring. The exceptionally high quality of craftsmanship in each piece affords years of relevancy and wear.

MotivMfg x Division Road

In partnership with one of our closest collaborators comes a full seasonal collection in an earth driven palette and heavyweight linens for pieces that provide durability, breathability, and form-articulating cuts. First up, we have our English Dress Hunt Work Jacket and French Work Trouser in a Spence Bryson® Black Coal Heavy Irish Linen for an avant-garde assembly or styling separates. Our renowned and collected English Hunt Work Jacket comes in another Spence Bryson® milled Irish Linen in a Herringbone Twill weave that has been garment dyed in-house to a vintage inspired, earthy Chestnut brown for a high character textured and antiqued finish. To complete, complement, or exclusively carry any ensemble, we bring you our American Camp Shirt development that crosses dress and casual with a fit equally perfected for base layer or overshirt utility in our favorite Japanese Slub Linen/Cotton blended articles.

De Bonne Facture

The definitive example of subdued and special luxury in our roster, De Bonne Facture brings new outerwear pieces perfect for the current season that will remain in your wardrobe for years to come. The new Maquignon Jacket, inspired by vintage garments synonymous with horse traders of Eastern France, is an iteration of an unlined chore or shop jacket with curved patch lower hand pockets complemented with a chest patch pocket and an interior chest pocket, expertly completed with premium horn buttons and felled seams throughout. This piece comes in both a military inspired Khaki Organic Cotton Drill Twill and a workwear Japanese Denim version with contrasting thread. For a completely different aesthetic, we bring you the Essential Jacket – a finely finished, unlined, and unstructured tailoring piece in a fit that reads elegant and casual in a subtly sophisticated and hyper versatile Prussian Blue Belgium Linen and Wool Blend Twill.
