Service Boot - 2030 - Leather - Gallun Caper Viking Calf

$1,025.00

Description

The Viberg x Division Road Gallun Caper Viking Calf Service Boot is an updated version of Viberg’s original work boot, designed by company founder Edwin Viberg in 1931 and inspired by a standard issue military boot pattern used by several nations during WWII. This exclusive-to-Division Road Service Boot uses a limited batch, full-weight combination vegetable-tanned Viking Calf from small batch Gallun Tannery in Milwaukee that specializes in rare, hand-finished hides and archival recipes. This recreated century-old tannage uses hand-selected calf hides that are naturally aniline drum dyed with a custom wax blend applied by hand at various stages, providing a refined finish and tightened grain break in a robust and durable leather that's naturally weather and scuff resistant. Molded on the ever-popular 2030 Last, the boot is fully lined with French binding and complemented with a brogue cap toe, brass eyelets, and a natural leather midsole atop a French Leather sole that will form to any gait while serving as an elevated resource in any rotation. With each boot carefully assembled by exacting Viberg craftspeople using stitchdown construction, this piece is perfect for those seeking an easily paired, classic Service Boot taken to the next level of craft and refinement.

Sizing

Viberg sizing is consistent to our old-grade manufacturers and the 2030 Last is frequently equal to a Tricker’s or White’s for most feet. As a general rule when sizing for Viberg, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden, or one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down from a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance.
