Description

The Momotaro 0605-IBSP 15.7 oz. Indigo x Black in the Natural Tapered is a mid-high rise with a roomy seat and thigh that gracefully tapers through the leg to a narrow hem to yield a relaxed tapered cut for a wide variety of body types. The signature 15.7 oz. Vintage Label Selvedge Denim is a recipe of hand-cultivated, long-staple 100% Organic Zimbabwe Cotton, rope dyed indigo, and vintage shuttle looming at moderate tensions. The result is a hallmark proprietary denim that's amazingly durable and rigid, which will evolve with a soft hand and structured form and deep color saturation that will fade with a layered character through years of heavy wear. With an indigo-dyed warp and black sulfur-dyed weft over natural core yarns, commemorated with the brand's "Going to Battle" back pocket stripes uniquely dyed indigo and black to evolve with the jeans, this denim will develop steely blue and charcoal fades with repeated wears and washes. This jean comes with the Momotaro standard peach selvedge line to represent the folkloric story that symbolizes Japan's rejuvenation of selvedge denim production in their home of Kojima, Okayama, and the brand's reputation of crafting some of the best jeans in the world by always looking to progress within traditional techniques. Finished with premium components and production standards, these jeans boast a unique tonal inseam thread, an indigo-dyed embossed leather patch, heavy-duty canvas pocket bags with a woven jacquard logo pattern, a black steel button fly, blackened copper riveting, hidden back rivets, bartack reinforcements throughout, and a chainstitched waist, seat, and hem. Representing one of the most highly esteemed Japanese jeans, this hardwearing Momotaro combines celebrated propriety selvedge denim, precise craftsmanship, and a refined modern cut to yield a mainstay in any wardrobe that is special when new and only gets better as it becomes one's own.

Sizing

Model Measurements: 6'2" | 175 lbs. | 41" Chest | 32" Waist - Wearing Size 33

The 0605-IBSP runs smaller than normal Momotaro sizing, and we suggest sizing to your Actual Waist Measurement (Body/Belt). Made with sanforized and once-washed denim, most shrinkage is removed. With regular use and after 1-2 washes, one can expect to gain .75"-1" in the waist long term.

Our Sizing Guide provides garment-specific measurements taken in-house, per Our Method, that are not duplicated across fabric or colorways and are re-measured each production run. Please feel free to Contact Us for additional assistance.
