Description

The Viberg x Division Road Shelby Sharp Brogue Boot is based on classically detailed British footwear with a turn-of-the-century dress aesthetic crafted with an outdoor build. This dutiful downtown design contains a higher quarter with a back stay over counter panel influenced by a vintage officer boot pattern. This military dress iteration of our Peaky Blinders-inspired collaboration befits the evolved character, story, and era of Thomas Shelby. It uses a limited batch medium brown Toscanello Vachetta Lucida Horsebutt from Maryam Tannery that's fully vegetable-tanned to maintain the natural feel and unique grain character of the horsebutt hides. Heavily stuffed with vegetable tannins and single-struck dyed with a natural core, this Shelby Sharp Brogue will evolve through heavy wear to a rich, burnished patina that will correspond with any ensemble. The densely structured, full-weight horsebutt hides are kept as natural as possible and rolled with lanolin oil to enhance a subtle shell-like shine and promote flexibility and comfort. This boot has an exclusive treatment of pinking on the quarter and counter in addition to a brogue cap toe and back stay that hallmark English detailing. For a military shape on a detailed dress style, we enlisted the 2055 Last, which has a lower-profiled silhouette in an accommodating Munson-based fit. We complemented this Shelby with warm and edgy specifications throughout, including brass eyelets, French binding, a tonal brown fabric pull loop, a 360-degree natural leather storm welt with a pinked edge, and natural leather midsole, all atop a British-made Goodyear Commando sole to provide grit and traction in a slick design that commands the attention a gangster requires. Setting the bar even higher, this boot leverages Goodyear welting using traditional techniques coupled with channeled insoles produced by Viberg's exacting craftspeople, resulting in a piece that will outlast the competition through every season and skirmish while looking as sharp as a Shelby blade.
