The Iron Heart IHSH-392-RED Short Sleeved Work Shirt is a medium-weight, reinforced piece produced from a 5 oz. sanforized and rinsed Japanese Selvedge Broadcloth in a yarn-dyed Red Vintage Check that's appropriate as a warm weather style staple. Using the signature Iron Heart Work Shirt pattern, this piece is perfectly proportioned in length to be worn untucked for modern, vintage-styled grit. This black check on a bright red field uses a new reactive dye to perform like a stable sulfur dye that will soften and subtly fade to convey a modern edge in the workshop. This Work Shirt has numerous and carefully considered construction and design details that improve the original inspiration, like black concave military-grade melamine buttons used on the dual patch front chest pockets with pencil slot and front placket, comprising a piece for the stylistically sound and self-reliant. Further, red selvedge line reveals on the placket and side seam gusset combined with internal felled seams and chainstitched construction with inseam run-off give this piece all the necessary heritage provenance, and then some. Iron Heart Shirting sizing is graded in small increments. The 392 Work Shirt runs true to Iron Heart sizing and is made with a sanforized, once-washed fabric with most shrinkage removed. With regular use, one can expect up to .5” of stretch in the chest over the long term.
