We are pleased to present the Tobacco Crepe Pack, showcasing new features and developments from Viberg with a Division Road slant. Using CF Stead’s Janus Calf Suede and Lactae Hevea’s Crepe Sole, we have a Service Boot and Rockland Blucher that come unlined for light-on-foot heavy-duty make-ups that convey casual luxury in sophisticated, well-crafted styles. Suitable for this season and beyond, these two suede specials will gracefully coordinate ensembles and conquer gritty conditions.
Illustrative of comfort and casual elegance, the Charles F. Stead Janus Calf is regarded as the finest suede in the world, using hand-selected calf butts in an aniline, vegetable re-tannage with an unparalleled lustrous nap that is durable and distinct. The Tobacco Janus Suede has a sepia color quality that changes in shade and hue with a green or brown undertone depending on light exposure.
Complemented with tonal specifications from top to bottom, these make-ups utilize Viberg’s exclusive Lactae Hevea Walker sole that has immense traction, comfort, flexibility, and durability as the premier crepe sole uniquely crafted to superior standards using trademarked techniques. This component is traditionally made by hand in France using nature's earth-friendly and renewable Hevea tree milk harvested from the bark in a practice that allows the plant to flourish.
Sixty years in the making, the Rockland Blucher achieves its destiny as a rare unlined and welted two-piece pattern with an open-laced vamp and tongue, balanced with an elongated quarter with a stitched-in counter pocket. Formed on the 1035 Last with an unstructured toe to modernize a classic British derby shape, the Tobacco Janus Calf Rockland Blucher is made to flex with fortitude.
The Tobacco Janus Calf Suede Service Boot was designed to have a dressy disposition with comfort and craft at its foundation for those boot guys seeking a lighter spring-summer option to carry them through fall. We used this full-weight yet highly flexible calf leather in an unlined, specially constructed upper with custom detailing from the French binding to caramel brass eyelets and a brogue and pinked cap toe, completed with stitchdown construction.
