The Iron Heart IHSH-365-IND Sawtooth Western Shirt is a hardy, reinforced piece produced in a proprietary Japanese 8 oz. sanforized and rinsed Hickory Stripe Herringbone Twill in Indigo designed to evolve with its wearer. Using the signature Iron Heart Western pattern of a slim fit based on the 1926 original, this shirt is perfectly proportioned in length to be worn untucked for modern, vintage-styled grit. This dutiful fabric inspired by "Wild West" railroad garments has been improved with a woven hickory stripe, achieved using a dimensional dobby loom in a herringbone twill weave with a rope-dyed indigo warp that will fade quickly. When worn hard as intended, the reactive dyed weft will hold its color to give a faded front and stable interior. This Sawtooth Western has numerous and carefully considered construction and design details like the triple stitched curved shoulder and back yoke panels, which are paired with signature Iron Heart black Permex snaps on the dual snap flap front chest pockets, placket, and cuffs to make a piece for the stylistically sound and self-reliant. Internal felled seams with chainstitched construction throughout give this piece all the necessary heritage provenance, and then some. Iron Heart Shirting sizing is graded in small increments. The 365-IND Western runs true to Iron Heart sizing and is made with a sanforized, once-washed fabric with most shrinkage removed. With regular use, one can expect up to .5-1” of stretch in the chest over the long term.
