Founded in 1936, Hestra is family owned and operated by the third and fourth generations of the Magnussons out of the Swedish town for which the brand is named. The Table Cut and Handsewn collection by Hestra is regarded by many as the finest made gloves in the world because of the company’s expert legacy craftsmanship and carefully selected materials. Anton and Niklas Magnusson are two of fewer than one hundred glove cutters in existence today, family trained from the original 17th century French Huguenot tradition of glove making. The makers use the finest glove leather tanneries that specialize in aniline dying techniques in order to retain the natural appearance and characteristics of each specialty, hand selected hide.
