Description

The Tricker's x Division Road C.F. Stead Hunter Nubuck Kudu Woodstock Derby Shoe is an exclusive collaboration with the definitive maker of English Country footwear, using a premium dusty slate green full-grain Kudu leather upper paired with a Goodyear Commando sole. This Division Road exclusive style utilizes a Nubuck Kudu by the storied C.F. Stead, known for their specialized tanning process of these South African antelope hides that are remarkably flexible, strong, and have distinct grain characteristics unique to wild animals. The hides are enhanced with a sanded grain that allows the heavily stuffed waxes and oils to renew the surface, resulting in a soft, matte finish with protective qualities. The Woodstock Country Derby is a newer shoe style from Tricker's, inspired by a casual blucher shoe with a full bellows tongue and a proportional quarter and counter design sleekly configured to reflect a sophisticated style with a hearty build and outdoor function in mind. All Tricker's undergo 260 individual steps in which craftspeople include a mulling concoction to infuse the uppers with oils, a wooden shank, a corking compound from a century-old recipe, and exquisite English finishing. This derby's elegant silhouette is achieved by using the w2298 Last, which has an urban dress shape with a slightly extended toe that accommodates a variety of foot types. This results in a simple boardroom-to-backwoods focused shoe that combines country footwear build-quality with a modern form, made to the refined craftsmanship standards expected from a Tricker's. This shoe takes a British classic to new heights while acting as a foundation for any ensemble with its black leather storm welt and midsole atop a British-made Goodyear Commando sole, complemented with corresponding black eyelets, heel pull, and French binding. As England's oldest shoemaker, Royal warrant holder, originator of the country boot, and one of the first and few still utilizing traditional Goodyear welting to the highest standards of quality in the industry, a Tricker's truly is made to last a lifetime in all conditions.

Joseph Tricker’s son-in-law, Walter James Barltrop, created the first model of the now famous waterproof country boot in 1848, when he was just seven years old. Barltrop propelled a second key innovation at Tricker’s when he introduced the Goodyear Welting machine at the turn of the 20th... View All Tricker's Products
