Service Boot - 2030 - Ridgeway - Horween English Tan Cypress

$825.00

Description

The Viberg x Division Road Horween English Tan Cypress Service Boot is an updated version of Viberg’s original work boot, designed by company founder Edwin Viberg in 1931 and inspired by a standard issue military boot pattern used by several nations during WWII. This exclusive-to-Division Road Service Boot uses a new Cypress recipe by Horween®. This vegetable-tanned leather applies the same traditional high oil and fat content extracts as Cordovan. The leather is lightly drum dyed to an aniline finish to retain the hide’s natural feel and remarkable grain characteristics. It is then waxed for durability while allowing for a deep patina that highlights the innate qualities of the leather. The result is a hearty leather that combines our affinity for workwear durability and, when worn hard, will develop into a hide with a glorious patina and glove-like comfort. Molded on the ever-popular 2030 Last for a sleek dress-casual silhouette, this boot is complemented with brass eyelets, a leather pull loop, and a natural leather midsole atop a British-made Ridgeway sole to provide lug traction in an elegant design for a functional heritage throwback. With each piece carefully assembled by exacting Viberg craftspeople using stitchdown construction, this is perfected footwear designed for those seeking a collectible Service Boot that will age and evolve uniquely to the wearer while remaining both timeless and indispensable within any vintage-inspired, modern wardrobe.

Sizing

Viberg sizing is consistent to our old-grade manufacturers and the 2030 Last is frequently equal to a Tricker’s or White’s for most feet. As a general rule when sizing for Viberg, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden, or one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down from a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance.
