Viberg x Division Road Collaboration
Our annual signature Viberg Slipper collaboration has finally arrived, designed for future destinations as an historically informed travel shoe with a proclivity for patina in a collectable spy-game style piece made for the discerning gentleman. Coming in a Port Glazed Calf leather from one of Italy’s premier tanneries, this slipper has incremental plated and glazed dye layers of espresso brown for a highly finished hide reminiscent of a polished walnut burl. This supple and structured leather is enhanced by the Slipper’s single hide wholecut mastery with evolutions that will reveal layers of color and grain when developing a deeply rich patina that will catalog your expeditions.
The Port Glazed Calf Slipper is exclusively made on the accommodative 2010 Last and is fully lined yet unstructured for a simplicity and fit that will form elegantly to the foot with an understated sophistication. To facilitate international excursions and exploits, this versatile piece comes with an antiqued leather 360 flat welt and sole to create a tonally corresponding clean canvas that will evolve gracefully and blend in unison. Finally, this Slipper is Goodyear welted with traditional techniques and has channeled insoles to provide longevity and molding that matches the timelessness of its wearer from the cigar lounge to the formal gala, and then off to a remote island.
The Patina Post - 4th Edition
New Expeditions for Evolution
In order to exhibit what to expect from our exceptional exclusives, we bring you the fourth edition of our favorite guidebook publication, The Patina Post. When you first step into the world of fully re-buildable footwear, it can be challenging sometimes to imagine exactly what a week, month, or year of proper wear looks like. Hence, after many miles of use and a quick freshening of our personal footwear pieces, we have documented the developments in color, character, and shape to show you how this high level of handgrade footwear breaks-in rather than breaks down.
With before-and-after transformations, expounding on the definition of "restore," and the contextual aspects of the wearer’s lifestyle all included in this Guidebook feature, we hope to provide the information you need to embark on your own stylish expedition of footwear evolutions. You will witness firsthand how natural materials in full and dutiful weights develop traits unique to their travels and partners. Dive into the details and get prepared for your next pair of boots or shoes, as you see the transformation of footwear that will inform your journey from the Division Road and beyond.
