Collaborations with Viberg, Dehen 1920, Gitman Vintage, and Shockoe Atelier
For this week's release, we bring you an onslaught of exclusive collaborations from our favorite manufacturing brands in North America using their maker's mark with the distinct Division Road signature of style and design. It’s no secret, Division Road likes to put its stamp on notable and rare offerings of value, wrapped up into precious pieces for our patrons. Further, many of our collaboration projects are not outwardly labeled as such, as we prefer to focus on the maker and aim to serve the astute collector who ascertains the limited nature of our pieces. Labels take more time than they are worth, and are often used to mask the mundane. Rather, we pour all of our energy into sourcing the materials, refining the specifications, adapting the pattern, and applying our perspective when creating the unique and utilitarian articles for the lifetime journey ahead.
Viberg x Division Road
As a last addition to our exclusive Natural Dublin Viberg Service Boot Series, we have a commanding piece for our generous footed gent that combines the military and work boot aesthetic in patina potential perfection. Enhancing the sleek low profile nature of this accommodating Last, this boot comes with a straight cap toe balanced with a leather heel pull, tonal specifications for a clean ready-to-wear palette, and the aggressive all-terrain Goodyear commando sole to yield what has quickly become one of our favorite 1035 make-ups to date for the Viberg veteran or recruit alike.
Dehen 1920 x Division Road
Our work with Dehen is hallmark to what we call Evergreen style, which is the infusion of workwear, militaria, and campus coordinates. This release has the maker’s mark of craftsmanship and the Division Road ethos of enhancements within our signature style profile. For the elevated officer we have next level Flyer’s Club Jackets, a perfect pair of Pendleton® Jacquard Blanket Crissmans for the North Westerner, and our much-anticipated Collegiate Cardigans to rival our exclusive Shawl with the same methodology applied for the Layered Lecturer in all of us.
Gitman Vintage x Division Road
It's true that we do indeed get excited about button-downs as any Original Gentleman knows, if you’re not wearing a collar you’re not really dressed. This season we bring you a host of traditional plaids in two completely new fabrications that both hone and honor heritage. Taking archive fabrics from the 80’s-90’s, we developed Deconstructed Hopsacks that fragment the pattern to an extraordinary effect in a thick yarned Oxford weave. In addition, our Interwoven Tartans use a luxurious mercerized cotton yarn that's finely woven into a twill with military level durability as suitable shirts for any guy inspired to be a pop-art professor or Celtic commander.
Shockoe Atelier
We really had nothing to do with these two Shockoe jeans outside of providing a baseline pattern for their new Modern Slim fit, which was, dare we say, appropriately appropriated. Regardless, as one of our favorite Collect Mills selvedge denims, the Kojima returns in the staple Standard fit and is paired with the much-anticipated debut of the impeccably tapered new Modern Slim. With a tailor’s approach to making a refined premium selvedge denim, Shockoe gives us a jean that requires no geekery and yields fantastic fades and comfortably contemporary and classic cuts.
