Service Boot - 2020 - Dainite - Horween Natural CXL

$825.00

Description

The Viberg x Division Road Horween Natural CXL Service Boot is an updated version of Viberg's original work boot, designed by company founder Edwin Viberg in 1931 and inspired by a standard issue military boot pattern used by several nations during WWII. This exclusive-to-Division Road Service Boot uses the revered Natural Chromexcel by Horween®, the original pull-up leather developed from a nearly century-old secret recipe of techniques, materials, and finishes. This leather is known for its flexibility, comfort, and durability. Completely undyed, the sepia tan coloration of this leather is provided by the tannage's oils and waxes, allowing for shades of high and low browns to develop with a sophisticated patina. Molded on the 2020 Last that grips and hooks with the anatomical shape of the foot to provide a comforting fit in a sleek dress-style silhouette, this boot is complemented with a pinked edge cap toe, antique brass eyelets, and a natural leather midsole atop a British-made Dainite sole to provide wet and dry traction in an elegant design for a functional heritage throwback. With each piece carefully assembled by exacting Viberg craftspeople using stitchdown construction, this is perfected footwear designed for those seeking a collectible Service Boot that will age and evolve uniquely to the wearer while remaining both timeless and indispensable within any vintage-inspired, modern wardrobe.

Sizing

Viberg sizing is consistent to our old-grade manufacturers and the 2020 Last is frequently equal to a Tricker’s or White’s for most feet. As a general rule when sizing for Viberg, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden, or one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down from a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance.
