Chelsea Boot - 2030 - Commando - CF Stead Chestnut Phoenix

$850.00

Description

The Viberg x Division Road CF Stead Chestnut Phoenix Chelsea Boot is a Victorian-era style that has evolved over several centuries. The perfected version from the Viberg collection gives a nod to the 60's mod scene and contemporary fashions. After several variations in development, acquiring specialty machinery, and instituting new production techniques, Viberg created the exceptional high Chelsea whole-cut upper pattern with a formed shaft to set their version apart as a more functional boot for the outdoors while maintaining a level of refinement absent in other renditions. This exclusive-to-Division Road Chelsea Boot uses an aniline dyed, combination re-tannage Phoenix recipe by the storied C.F. Stead, known for making some of the finest leathers in the world. This tannage uses hand-selected full-weight double-butt cowhides that are aniline dyed for a soft, natural finish. The hides are stuffed with oils over multiple applications of heavy waxes to provide a refined finish and tightened grain break in a robust and durable leather that's naturally weather and scuff-resistant. The new Chelsea 2030 Last maintains the riding boot silhouette while providing a more accommodating fit with a military-dress disposition. This high Chelsea comes countryside-ready with tonal specifications throughout, including a nutmeg brown elastic gusset and fabric pull loop with a natural leather 360 scalloped storm welt and midsole atop a British-made Goodyear Commando sole to provide lug traction in an outdoor-focused design. Setting the bar even higher, this boot leverages Goodyear welting using traditional techniques coupled with channeled insoles produced by Viberg's exacting craftspeople, resulting in a lifetime piece that will withstand the elements in a distinctive style that will evolve for the modern-leaning and vintage-inspired alike.

Sizing

Viberg sizing is consistent to our old-grade manufacturers, and the 2030 Last is frequently equal to a Tricker’s or White’s for most feet. Generally, when sizing for Viberg, we suggest you select a half (.5) size down from a common US boot like Red Wing or Alden or one-and-a-half (1.5) sizes down from a common US sneaker like Nike or New Balance.
