Description
The Quartermaster Re-Camo HBT French Chino is inspired by the iconic French Army Foreign Legion trousers introduced in the 50s and comes as a double-pleated front high-rise fit designed to be worn toward the natural waist to provide a comfortably roomy seat and thigh with a gently tapered leg that ends with a wide hem. This chino features a medium-weight 10 oz. Italian Herringbone Twill that has been sanforized and washed for softness, texture, and drape in a 100% Cotton cloth signature to military garments from the 50s-70s due to the fabric's durability. Using new sulfur print capabilities leveraged on this HBT cloth, The Quartermaster developed this exclusive remixed camouflage by balancing the iconic and graphic Tiger Stripe camouflage pattern adopted by US Special Forces in the Vietnam War and the subdued palette of the Italian Army M29 camo introduced in 1929 and used for over half a century to produce a style-versatile piece that will evolve with repeated wear and washes. This trouser has been adapted and improved from fit to signature detailing in an authentic reproduction suited for any new-classic enthusiast with welted front side seam pockets and welted back pockets with buttoned flaps, a corozo buttoned front, rolled and tucked belt loops, bartack reinforcements, and a chainstitched flat-felled inseam and taped outseams — culminating in a garment made to last with Tuscan vertical manufacturing and provenance. The French Chino will become that favored medium-weight casual pant informed by militaria and workwear with an updated classic fit, designed for the man who balances his current fashion with old-world construction.
