The Studio D’Artisan 5701 Natural Indigo Denim Western Shirt is a limited collection piece produced in an exclusive 12.8 oz. Japanese Selvedge Denim that has been once washed for softness to be an all-natural, style-forward heritage collector’s item. Dyeing using the Indigofera plant is a 3,000-year-old tradition, introduced to China and later Japan in the 8th century Nara period, where the same plant cultivation and natural indigo pigment are still used. This all-season, heavyweight Japanese milled denim has been moderately rope dyed with natural plant indigo on the warp for a warm blue that will fade and contrast to a white weft with a personalized patina. The Studio D’Artisan Western Shirt has a classic slim fit that works for various body types, and signature details are elevated from vintage originals like angled front and curved back yoke panels along with pearl snapped flap front sawtooth chest pockets, front placket and cuffs. The SDA Natural Indigo Denim Western is completely chainstitched throughout, along with felled seams providing durable, old-world provenance to enable a journey into the past through present styles, transported to you by a standout 40-year-old producer of heritage denim.
