Description

The EasyMoc x Division Road Adirondack Grizzly Leather and Navy Deck Overalls Rangeley Boot Double Bottom is a fully functional hiking and hunting boot developed by founder Greg Cordeiro and produced in limited numbers for Division Road. Made to serve in daily duty for the style-savvy looking to represent workshop craft, this boot highlights Maine’s finest traditions of hand-lasted, hand-sewn, true moccasin production. This Division Road EasyMoc make-up has an upper and double sole made with Chocolate Adirondack Grizzly leather chrome tanned by Seidel in Milwaukee using full-weight, crust cowhides. The hides are given coatings of natural wax and oils for a deep chestnut color and air-dried and tumbled to enhance the grain and pliability of this highly durable leather. This version of Grizzly leather has immense pull-up and will patina deeply while easily molding to the foot. For a two-toned configuration that speaks into evolving true moccasin construction with repurposed materials, vintage Navy Deck Overalls were sourced and pattern cut into the construction using the Whipcord exterior for the quarter and tongue, while the original wool flannel lining of the military trousers was used for the upper lining. The Rangeley is inspired and designed for the Maine outdoors with these waterproof materials, double sole with a leather lined full triple vamp upper, high quarter with a split eyestay and tongue lacing for protection and flex that combine with tonal antique brass eyelets, and a top logger hook and backstay with an integrated pull loop for full function, all completed with a natural heavy gauge waxed hand-sewn moccasin toe, heel, and overcast stitching for a make-up refined for city styling and well-equipped to explore the woods. This EasyMoc is hand-lasted on an adapted vintage moccasin boot form for an accommodating fit that allows the hand-sewn leather construction to mold to the foot. This boot is assembled for a lifetime of utility using considered elements, including an Ortholite® Comfort Hybrid Recycled Footbed for a modern interior and a Blake welted insole to a vegetable-tanned brown leather midsole for full re-craftability. For proportional balance and a stable surface, the Rangeley Boot DB is completed with an outsole stitched midsole atop a Vibram 100 Montagna Honey Lug sole, ideal for hiking, camping, and trekking in a workman-made moccasin that styles up to your best heritage or modern ensembles.
