Description

The White's x Division Road Black Waxed Flesh & Natural CXL 300 Oxford is an industrial workwear shoe pattern from the Depression-era when footwear had to serve multiple purposes from factory floor to weekend outings. This Oxford shoe pattern comes with a high quarter, full counter, and gusset tongue to provide function and durability for the workshop or outdoors, while remaining appropriate for daily duty in a modern world. These Division Road White's are characterized by utilizing two tannage variations of Chromexcel in a two-tone palette that will patina to more closely relate to one another through years of hard wear, as the Black Waxed Flesh for the vamp and counter will reveal a sand colored nap that corresponds to the Natural CXL leather utilized on the quarter and tongue, which will eventually darken with use and conditioning. The Waxed Flesh by Horween uses a wax application during the tanning process on the roughout side of Natural CXL that yields a leather with water-resistant properties designed to patina. Chromexcel by Horween is the original pull-up leather developed from a nearly century-old secret recipe of techniques, materials and finishes and is known for its flexibility, comfort and durability. This shoe is designed in collaboration with Master Shoemaker and now CEO, Eric Kinney, to hallmark the quintessentially Northwest multi-paneled upper that allows for comprehensive rebuilds, and pairs with White's exclusive stitchdown construction tradition using their unique hand-sewn and all-leather builds, all refined with our functional design approach that honors the original craftsmanship, history, and lifetime durability with a fresh perspective. This Oxford comes with an unstructured toe box that gives a low profile form to the popular Arch-Ease 55 Last known for providing trademark support with a more approachable break-in and having an elegantly classic, round toe shape with an accommodating forefoot and moderate volume that matches a wide variety of feet. We exclusively enhanced White's hand-sewn welted methods with a tonally corresponding Natural CXL welt to match the natural finished leather midsole and half-slip, atop a Vibram 2060 industrial walking sole for all-purpose trekking comfort that is combined with a single row, hand-sewn stitchdown to allow for greater flexibly and a clean aesthetic for the long-haul. Finally, this exclusive Oxford comes with brass eyelets and a custom White's tongue stamp and WB x DR collaboration insole stamp. Made as a hallmark to White's unaltered, hand-sewn traditions and customized to Division Road specifications, this 300 Oxford has a polished aesthetic for urban environs, built for all conditions in the outdoors.
